The Big Picture: ETEC 590 Graduation Project
A brief snapshot:
This final course in the MET program requires students to produce an ePortfolio as a culminating activity to showcase our learning, connections and insights that resulted from the 10 courses in the program. This eP is likened to stepping back and viewing the collage wholistically.
The eP should meet the following criteria:
• Be integrative, through requiring generation/application of ideas across courses;
• Generate research findings and/or link theory/research to practice;
• Demonstrate your learning;
• Result in a concrete product that demonstrates linkages and applications;
• Be of personal use to you, the student, be and considered educationally valuable by an audience of professional peers.

Assessment of my Ep

This rubric was adapted from the UBC ETEC 590 eP Checklist (UBC, 2014). Given that the initial rubric is what will be used to assess us, it seemed logical to use it as a foundation and guidance as I build my eP. I also chose to add a numerical rating scale of 3, 2 and 1 as I felt they matched well with the linguistic ratings of Exceeding, Meeting and Approaching. While these ratings can be viewed as subjective, I felt that it was important that I critically analyze whether or not I felt I was above, at or below the acceptable standard as demonstrated by past ePs produced for ETEC 590. |
